Drive through the scenic Santorini countryside and visit 3 different distinguished wineries. At each winery, you will taste some of Santorini’s finest wines such as Nykteri, Asyrtiko, and Vinsanto. Sample 12 different varieties of wine throughout the tour. Sip a glass of Vinsanto, Santorini’s specialty made from dried grapes, whose sweet taste is renowned throughout Europe. Learn about Santorini’s rich viticulture tradition which dates to ancient times. In between your winery visits, drive through Santorini’s impressive countryside and admire its scenic villages. Experience the world-famous sunset of Santorini as you sip a glass of wine at a winery perched upon the caldera cliffs. Explore the cellars of each winery and learn about the centuries-old techniques employed by Santorini’s winemakers. The tour starts by picking up guests at their hotels and villas. First stop will be visiting the wine museum of Koutsogiannopoulos where the travelers will see the only underground wine museum in Greece and furthermore, they will have a wine tasting of four different local wines. The second stop of the tour is Estate Argyros. Here the travelers will have a nice introduction to the indigenous grapes of Santorini and the story of Estate Argyros featuring 4 different wines including the signature wine Vinsanto, accompanied by a small selection of local cheeses. The last stop of the tour is the famous Venetsanos Winery built on the edge of the cliff with its astonishing view overlooking the Caldera and the Volcano. Here the guests will enjoy their last wine tasting paired with snack platter. At the end of the tour, your driver will transfer you back to the hotel.
